The Flower Room: A Celebration of Women

EVENT INFO

Join women from across Atlanta for the world premiere of Daryl Lisa Fazio’s The Flower Room. The hilarious new comedy celebrates a woman’s ownership of her own body and sexuality on her own terms. When Ingrid loses her university job, she turns to writing erotica to pay the bills - unleashing her own journey of sexual discovery and her first sexual awakening in middle-age.

The special performance will raise funds to support Actor’s Express’ growing efforts to produce plays by female playwrights and hire female directors. After the matinee, attendees will gather for a cross-generational conversation about the #MeToo Movement as well as champagne cocktails and desserts. Special guests include Stephanie Davis (Actor’s Express Board of Directors), Kwajelyn Jackson (Feminist Women’s Health Center) and Daryl Lisa Fazio (playwright). This event is for women only.
